MS Dhoni got the country’s third largest civil award, Padma Bhushan from President Ramnath Kovind on Monday. The former Indian captain, who is in the rank of honorary lieutenant colonel, wore his official uniform of the regional army for the ceremony.Apart from Dhoni, many billiards world champion Pankaj Advani also received prizes for his extra achievements. 32-year-old Advani has ruled the World Billiards for many years. The Bangalore-based Quechist has won 18 World titles, Pankaj claimed in the last year’s IBSF World Snooker Championship title.
Dhoni, who had come to the ceremony in his lieutenant colonel uniform, when he was called to receive the award. Indian Regional Army gave honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Dhoni on November 1, 2011, after India won second World Cup under his leadership.
